What is the best way to Farm Gold in WoW with my lvl 34 Horde Mage?

I was thinking I could do lower level instance runs all by myself.

either run instaces and sell the items
or use gathering skills

Run Wailing Caverns or Ragefire Chasm by yourself. You should be able to solo either. Download Auctioneer (http://auctioneeraddon.com/) and buy out cheap items and then re-sell them for higher values on the auction house. Make sure you are selling whatever items you craft/gather on the auction house. Get it as high as you can. Fishing and cooking are actually worth doing and yield great gold at later levels. Run all the quests that you can if the gold is for your level 40 mount. Offer to run other low level players thru lower dungeons in return for gold.
