Check to see where the best drop rates are, and read the user comments; I find that they are typically pretty helpful.

Tanaris is too thin on the wind elementals for my patience… I went to N.W. Silithus, the Wind Elementals there drop breath of wind… just north of the wind elementals are earth elementals that drop core of earth. In the very center of Ungorro Crater is a mountain that has fire elementals the drop elemental fire…. BUT heart of fire is best prob in Black Rock Depths.
In Outlands the best “one stop shop” on elementals is Elemental Plateau in Northern Nagrand… its a fly in only area tho. There are elementals all over Nagrand tho if you have to chase them down on a ground mount.
