Enchanting is stand-alone, it costs money to level, but can also make a big profit. Some high money items you might want to farm: Black Tabby cat (horde only) drops from dalaran spellscribe (level 15ish, 15% chance, rare spawn though) in silverpine forest or any dalaran npc in altarac mountains (level 30ish, 1/1000 chance). Mining and skinning are what I always choose if I start a character on a new server.
