You need to look at the High level instances
Any world encounters would have such a low drop rate that it would be meaningless to even try to compare them

Well, depending on which drops you’re going for, the answer differs. If you’re going for gear upgrades for yourself, pick up a profession that corresponds to your class, and level that a lot. An easier solution is also to run heroic mode instances, as the final boss in all heroic mode instances drops an epic quality item.
If you’re looking for epics to sell and make money, you’re wasting your time. No level 80 mobs have a reliable drop chance for bind on equip epics. You’re much better off farming things like mining nodes or eternals for money.
